My favorite thing about this ceramic clown bust is its color scheme. It's not overly done, just simple clean bold colors. As far as I can tell, this particular sad, boy clown bust must have been a part of a "paint-your-own-pottery" line. I have seen the same bust twice before, always uniquely painted. The others I have seen were signed 1979. This one is initialed on the bottom with the year listed as 1991.
For lovers of Folk Art this color block clown bust is a great addition to any collection.
