US Military Surplus
Aviator bag issued to US Air Force (USAF) pilots.
Also known as a parachute bag.
The shell was changed to nylon from the mid-1980s, but this is the old-type canvas model.
The markings from May 1972, at the end of the Vietnam War, and the US blue stamp are legible.
There are stains and scratches commensurate with the age, and a few small holes in the bottom.
One of the brass W-zip tabs is missing, but the zipper operates smoothly.
The fading is minimal except for the bottom, and even considering the dirt, it's in relatively good condition.
It's built to last, so it can still be used as is.
Canvas kit bags are becoming increasingly difficult to find.
