Product Description:
This large Basket is expertly wheel thrown and faceted. The handle is extruded, then seamlessly attached to the robust rim. It is fired in a high temperature gas kiln until the glazes mature but notably the artist has left a section of bare clay to highlight and contrast the glazed upper and lower portions.
The jar is austere and introspective. It is stoutly made and substantial - yet balanced in the hand. The artist is strongly influenced by architecture, both primitive and contemporary. Weighs over 4 pounds.
