Beautiful 3 inch tall cloth doll with embroidered face and braided embroidery floss hair, hand stitched Stars and Stripes dress and pinafore. Signed by the maker Mary E. Doersom, a Lancaster artisan who died in 2014. Dated 1996.
She is about the size of a 1:12 dollhouse preschooler and could be a cute “child size doll” for a dollhouse girl.
Wonderful hard to find collector’s item, beautifully crafted. I haven’t seen a single one for sale elsewhere, only photos in the maker’s obituary. Selling off an inherited collection.
