Emil's Adventures in Lnneberga by Raben & Sjgren

The folks in Lönneberga pitied the Svenssons of Katthult, who had such a troublesome son. Imagine if they knew Emil would grow up to be the chairman of the local council! However, this book isn't about that; it's about the pulley incident where Emil got his head stuck in the waste bin, and the unfortunate Sunday when he hoisted little Ida up the flagpole. This is the first book about Emil i Lönneberga, one of Astrid Lindgren's most beloved characters, and her personal favorite. The stories are based on her own father, Samuel August, and his tales of growing up in Småland late in the 19th century. Astrid initially wanted Björn Berg, a renowned artist and illustrator for Dagens Nyheter, to create the illustrations. He agreed, marking the start of a long collaboration with many Emil books. In 2021, new editions of the three Emil books were released, featuring restored and colorized illustrations.
