This Dixon FCSB200 water fitting is a steel female King short shank suction coupler with brass nut for connecting to a male coupler to join two hoses of the same size. It has a hose barb on one end for connecting to hoses and female National Standard Free-Fitting Straight Mechanical Pipe (NPSM) threads on the other for connecting to male threaded pipes or fittings. This fitting is made of steel for greater resistance to rust than iron, and the nut is made of brass for corrosion resistance, ductility at high temperatures, and low magnetic permeability. The barbed fitting creates a tight seal on flexible and semi-rigid tubing when used with a hose clamp, crimp sleeve, or ferrule (not included), and a rubber gasket for high elasticity and resistance to abrasion and impact forces. Integral nut for using a wrench to tighten the fitting.
