This limited edition Department 56 piece is a replica of the home of H.J. Heinz, the originator of the Heinz brand.
This house is where he first bottled horseradish for his neighbors, making it the first Heinz production building!
This item was designed and exclusively manufactured for the H. J. Heinz Company, and was given as a gift to Heinz vendors in late 1996. In 1997 it was sold via direct mail to its stockholders, and was then retired in December 1997. It was never for sale to the public.
