Made in Taxco, Mexico during the 1940s (WWII years) by the famous silversmith Hector Aguilar for the American jewelry company Coro, this iconic piece is a stylistic rounded cat head with protruding ears, applied whiskers, and a winking eye. The back is flat, has a roll-over clasp, and is stamped Made in Mexico Coro Silver. This tests to be at least 925 (sterling) silver.

The pin measures 1 1/4 (32mm) x 1 1/4 x 5/8 (11mm) deep and weighs 13.7 grams. It shows some wear-light surface scratches.
